Just watched this and it brought back all the anticipation and joy of the opening reception to the jaunty music of Lau, a flavour of the excellent quality of the conference speakers, and the studied attention of the audience. Definitely an occasion to be savoured and built on as I said in my Northings Hi-Arts online journal article back in December. Please let me know when the video and documentation come out.
We're planning a Sensing the Elements from the Isle of Luing to the Port of Leith event in 2009 which will take forward and be very much in tune with all of this.

Today we participate almost exclusively with other humans and with our own human-made technologies. It is a precarious situation, given our age-old reciprocity with the many-voiced landscape. We still need that which is other than ourselves and our own creations.
